Living Soil

Living soil is a type of soil that is alive and full of microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi, and nematodes, that work together to create a healthy ecosystem for plants. It is composed of organic matter, like compost, and various natural minerals and nutrients that promote plant growth. Unlike traditional soils, living soil is not sterilized or treated with synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, which can harm the delicate balance of microorganisms in the soil. Instead, living soil relies on natural processes to cycle nutrients, control pests, and maintain soil structure. It is commonly used in organic and sustainable farming practices and is favoured by many gardeners for its ability to produce healthy, nutrient-dense plants.
