Directions of Use

Bluelab Guardian Monitor Installation

  1. Fit the (optional) pH probe holder to the stem of the pH probe using a gentle twisting motion.
  2. Place the pH probe into the reservoir and push the suction cup onto the side of the reservoir but far enough down so the pH probe tip is in the solution.
  3. The holder prevents damage to the pH probe from banging onto the side of the reservoir with movement of the solution.
  4. Place the conductivity/temperature probe into the reservoir selected.
NOTE: Both the Bluelab pH Probe and Bluelab Conductivity/Temperature Probe require submersion in the liquid for a measurement to occur.
NOTE: Do not pour concentrated nutrient solution or pH adjuster directly onto probes when in the reservoir, as very strong acid may damage the probes or your alarms (if set) may trigger.

Bluelab Connect Installation

Install software and stick
  1. Download the Bluelab Connect Software installer file from our website
  2. Run the installer and wait until it has finished. You will need administrator rights
  3. Insert the Bluelab Connect Stick into a USB port on your compute
Run Bluelab Connect from the shortcut on the desktop or from the start menu.

  1. A tour will display explaining the software and some of its features. The main window will then open.
Connecting your first connect device

  1. Connect appropriate plug adaptor to power supply
  2. Connect power supply to device
  3. Switch on mains power
  4. If Bluelab Connect shows no signal (may take up to 1 minute to show).
  5. Connect the power supply to the device/s again in their intended location, they will return to showing signal and sending data almost immediately.
  6. If ‘Signal weak’ is displayed, you may need to reposition the device/s or use a range extender in between the device/s and the connect stick to boost the signal.
